Statement of Intent

The following is our Statement of Intent. It is our personal commitment to God and to His Church. We print this out and sign it.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
John 15:16

We believe that the Church of God has a threefold vision:

  • To glorify God in worship
  • To build up the body of Christ
  • To witness to the world

    • We intend that this will result in:

  • God focussed corporate praise and worship and a walk worthy of our calling
  • Relevant and practically applicable Bible based teaching
  • Creative interaction with the world in order to introduce them to the Jesus who lives in us

    • Statement of Intent:

    Our intent is that both personally and as the local body of Christ we will walk worthy of our calling to manifest God's glory, to do the good works God has planned for us and by our lives make known the wonderful breadth and depth of God's wisdom not only in this world, but to the powers and authorities in the heavenly places.

    Personal commitment:

    I affirm my commitment to this vision and statement of intent. By God’s grace I will work this out in my own life for God’s glory.

    Church commitment:

    I take this vision for God’s Church to apply to our local fellowship. I take it as my own and commit myself by God’s grace to work this out in my local church for God’s glory.
